Favela Rising (2005)
“Favela Rising” is a documentary about the successful story of a group of young people that emerge from the violent slums of Rio de Janeiro to lead a nonviolent musical and cultural movement known as “Grupo Afro-reggae“, which rises as a meaningful and healthy alternative for the children and young men involved in the drug movement and other criminal activities.
